Holding the Light is part of my Road Trip Vistas series. The long drives from state to state to visit family is when I take many photos as inspiration for artworks. These paintings are the result of these snaps from our moving car.

I love the different landscapes we travel through over the distances we drive. Everything from mountains, bushland, fields of golden crops and lots of rolling hills and big skies on open plains. It is an absolute treasure trove of inspiration! crops

There were frequent showers on our last trip producing these misty and moody skies ringing hope of blue skies. All these works are based on my photos.
