'Inspired by the Egyptian deity Nehebkau, Guardian of the Soul explores transformation through the balance of fear and protection, life and death. Once feared as a spirit of the underworld, Nehebkau later became a guardian who guided souls by uniting the Ka and Ba.

This woman with serpentine legs embodies this unsettling duality, blurring the line between protector and predator. The work invites viewers to confront the discomfort of the unknown, where transformation is neither gentle nor certain, and where fear and salvation become impossible to distinguish.'
