Andrew K

Brisbane artist Andrew K creates paintings that are bold, layered and full of feeling. Working with oil paint, broad brushes and charcoal drawn into wet paint, he explores belonging, empathy and our connection to place. His distinctive charcoal lines bring texture and definition to each work.

Born in Tasmania, Andrew embraces imperfection as part of his process. Selected works from his Saint series and The Victor Series are currently showing in Tempest.

Trisha Lambi

Light gives Trisha Lambi’s paintings their drama. It falls across a form, draws out a detail and creates an atmosphere that stays with you. Her oil paintings are bold and sensuous, often carrying an emotion she says emerges as she works.

Raised on a farm outside Warwick, Trisha now paints from her studio overlooking the Brisbane River. Her work has been exhibited across Australia and internationally since 2004, and we’re pleased to share it in Tempest.

Nicole Fearfield

Brisbane artist Nicole Fearfield draws on memories of travel and the sea to create abstract paintings rich in colour and movement. She builds each work in layers, allowing it to develop intuitively before stepping back to bring the composition into balance.

Fresh from a successful showing at the Melbourne Affordable Art Fair, Nicole brings that same energy home to Tempest. We’re delighted to share her work here at The Brisbane Gallery.

Danielle Grygorcewicz

For Brisbane artist Danielle Grygorcewicz, familiar places are full of possibility. After two decades living abroad, she returned to the city where she grew up with a fresh eye for its light, colour and everyday scenes. Her paintings bring recognisable forms together with texture and fluid movement.

Danielle has shared her work with us in Art for Home, Escape and Form & Flow. We’re delighted to welcome her back for Tempest
